Hey everyone,
Welcome to the new format of our weekly wrap! Every Monday, we’ll bring you a recap of the weekend’s highlights and a preview of what’s coming up. It’s a chance to celebrate wins, stay informed, and get excited for the week ahead. Let’s dive in!
Weekend Highlights
🌄 Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko Recap
Last week, we saw incredible efforts at Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko, with clients tackling the 30km, 50km, 100km, and 100-mile events. The conditions were intense, a hot and humid Thursday transitioned into a humid Friday morning, which culminated in severe weather, including hail and lightning, forcing a two-hour race pause at the summit of Kosciuszko.
A huge congratulations to everyone who made it to the start line and completed the race. It was inspiring to see you pushing your limits, embracing the challenges, and having fun along the way!
🏃♀️ 5km Baseline Runs
Several of you also completed your 5km baseline runs last week. It’s been fantastic to see the effort and progress, keep it up! These benchmarks are setting the foundation for even bigger wins ahead.
🌏 Global Adventures
• Over in WA, Emily crushed an 80km fast-pack training session. Massive kudos to her as Emily prepares to hike the PCT (Mexico to Canada), next year!
• In Thailand, Peter kicked off his Run to Remember, an extraordinary 1400km journey from the town of Yasothon in the North East of Thailand, heading south to Takua Pa over 26 days. On Sunday, Peter completed 60km on day one and is already well into Day 2 (Monday). You can follow Pete below

Caleb is embarking on his fast packing adventure this Thursday, starting his 3000km journey along the Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand. This trail spans the entire length of the country, running from the top to the bottom of New Zealand. Wishing Caleb all the best, I will be sure to keep you updated.
🔥 Jennah-Louise in Oman
Jenna is taking on the Himan Trail Race in Oman, a 114km ultra that’s sure to test her grit and determination. Best of luck, Jenna. We can’t wait to hear all about it!
🏞️ Sydney Trail Half Marathon
Closer to home, Alex and Karen will be running the Sydney Trail Half Marathon this weekend in Parramatta. Good luck to both of you, have a great race and embrace the heat!
December Reminders
As the summer heat ramps up, don’t forget to:
• 💧 Stay hydrated—water is your best friend!
• 😴 Prioritise sleep—it’s your secret weapon for recovery and performance.
Let’s finish the year strong, team. Keep pushing, stay consistent, and enjoy the journey!
Prompt of the week
How do I want my running to look in six months?
Take a moment to visualise it. What does your training feel like? How are your runs progressing? What goals have you achieved?
Now ask yourself: What’s holding me back from turning that vision into reality?
Reflect on these questions, be honest with yourself, and use the answers to shape your next steps. Progress starts with clarity and intention.
Client Spotlight: Shane Bannister
1. What is your go-to nutrition for long runs?
Nutella & Vegemite sandwiches (individually, not together!) are a staple, although I really need to find something more Orang-utan friendly... So much more stomach friendly than hours of gels 🤮
2. What is your favourite training session?
Hills! Love to hate them. Type 2 fun. Get so much benefit from those sessions! Having said that, Matty forced me in the gym and I've really loved the strength training, have seen the benefits and there's no going back!
3. Which race are you currently training for, and what motivates you to run it?
As I'm writing this I'm sat in a lodge in Thredbo about 30hrs away from the start of Kosci 100. This one is a proper test having only run my first marathon a few weeks ago as part of my training. I'm wired with only 1 switch which is either on or off, when it's on it's hard on and I go all in. I get a kick out of pushing myself and doing hard things, previously having done the 3 Peaks challenge in under 10hrs which pushed me to my limits on the bike. Being privileged and able to do these things isn't lost on me and I'm grateful for every moment. Beyond Kosci? If I survive moving states with a toddler and the birth of #2 in January I'll try sneak away to Buffalo Sky Marathon in March (still a negotiation that one!)
